Ms. Sophia Herbst graduated in 2018 with a J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law.
While in law school she was selected for the Public Contract Law Journal, served as a notes editor, and her note was published. The summer following her second year of law school, Ms. Herbst completed an internship at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan, LLP’s international arbitration practice in Paris, France. Ms. Herbst concluded her law student career as a student attorney in the Criminal Appeals and Post-Conviction Services clinic representing two clients in their criminal appeals to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. In addition, Ms. Herbst spent two years working, first as an intern and then as a judicial fellow, for The Honorable Charles N. Brower, where she focused on international commercial and investment arbitration matters.
In addition to her work at the firm, Ms. Herbst is currently a research assistant to Lee Caplan for the third addition of his book, The UNCITRAL Rules: A Commentary.
Ms. Herbst is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
